Summer School of Dermatology and Allergology

This programme features workshops with simulated patients ("From Symptoms to Diagnosis"), spirometry workshops, and practical sessions focused on diagnosing and treating allergic diseases of the skin and respiratory system. Participants will enhance diagnostic skills and practical competencies in managing patients with allergic conditions. Duration: 5 days, 30 hours of sessions at the Simulation Center, with 10 participants from international academic staff.

  1. Participant characteristics and qualification criteria for IIEP: “Summer School of Dermatology and Allergology”

    1.1 Participants of the IIEP “Summer School of Dermatology and Allergology” may only be persons who simultaneously meet all of the following conditions:
    a) are medical doctors employed as teaching and/or research staff at foreign higher education and science institutions,
    b) possess English language skills at least at level B2,
    d) are ready for active participation in practical classes held in the medical simulation centre and clinical wards,
    e) have independently and voluntarily declared their willingness to participate in the IIEP.

    1.2. In the event of more applications than places available in the IIEP “Summer School of Dermatology and Allergology”, the following preferential criteria shall apply:
    a) English language proficiency above B2 – 5 points,
    b) motivation and justification for participation in the IIEP, conformity of the candidate’s profile with the course topic – 0–10 points.

    1.3. The minimum number of participants of the IIEP is 5 and the maximum is 15, depending on the allocation of funds.

    1.4. Application submission deadlines and the planned number of participants will be provided in the recruitment announcement on the UJK Medical College subpages. Applications will be accepted via UJK’s electronic recruitment system.

    1.5. After the deadline indicated in item 10.4 has elapsed, a ranking list will be prepared; on its basis candidates with the highest number of points obtained on the basis of declared achievements will be invited to submit the documentation listed in item 10.6 and to present originals of documents for inspection no later than on the day of commencement of the in-person IIEP classes.

    1.6. Candidates qualified for admission shall submit, via the electronic recruitment system, scans of documents confirming eligibility for the IIEP, including documents confirming additional preferential achievements for the IIEP, within the deadline indicated in the electronic recruitment system:
    1. signed application form (including declaration of voluntary willingness to participate in the IIEP) – generated and printed from the Electronic Recruitment System;
    2. CV;
    3. covering letter describing scientific interests and teaching activities of the candidate relevant to the summer school topic, in English (minimum 500 words),
    4. diploma of completed medical studies,
    5. the licence/right to practise medicine or an equivalent document,
    6. a statement of English language proficiency at least B2, or an appropriate certificate confirming proficiency in this language,
    7. GDPR declarations and consent to data processing, signed recruitment regulations.
