Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce is implementing the project 'Education Without Borders for Medical Programmes at UJK' within the SPINAKER program – Intensive International Education Programs – 2024 recruitment.
Co-financed by the European Social Fund under the European Funds for Social Development Programme 2021–2027
Project beneficiary: Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange
The aim of the project is to develop, implement and carry out five Intensive International Education Programmes (IMPK), whose execution will contribute to improving the quality of education and increasing the attractiveness of the Jan Kochanowski University’s Collegium Medicum among international medical students, doctoral candidates, and international academic and teaching staff. The scope of project activities is fully aligned with the objectives of the NAWA SPINAKER Programme, whose main goal is to support higher education and research institutions in creating and implementing intensive, international forms of education conducted in foreign languages.
As part of the project, the following IMPKs will be delivered in English:
- Training course: “Ultrasound-Guided Peripheral Short Cannula Placement”
- Training in emergency procedures: “Medical Emergency Activities”
- Training course: “The Physiological Importance of Spinal Extension – From Birth to Adulthood”
- Summer School of Dermatology and Allergology
- Training course: “Research Methodology and Biostatistics”
Equipment and materials necessary for the implementation of the above-mentioned IMPKs will be purchased.
The course topics have been selected in response to increasing demand for highly specialised skills and based on the opportunities to use modern teaching methods, including the advanced infrastructure of the Medical Simulation Centre. The programmes will be delivered in both on-site and hybrid formats. Participation by an international group of learners will foster the development of cooperation networks, facilitate the exchange of experience, and inspire innovative solutions in healthcare. Implementing the courses in collaboration with international experts, grounded in clinical and scientific experience, will strengthen the intercultural dimension and highlight the practical nature of the activities.
The training programmes will include the use of modern technologies, such as ultrasound-guided cannulation, innovative diagnostic methods, and advanced teaching tools, including medical simulation and clinical scenarios. This approach will not only enhance participants’ competencies but also contribute to strengthening UJK’s position on the international market. Furthermore, the project will support the development of linguistic and specialist competences among the teaching staff of CM UJK, which in the long term will enable the expansion of foreign-language educational offerings and the deepening of cooperation with international higher education institutions.
The target group of the project consists of: students (28 individuals), doctoral candidates (4 individuals), and academic staff (38 individuals) from foreign higher education institutions, who will be recruited to participate in the IMPKs.
